All sorts of students come to MCLA to pursue art. Painters, illustrators, printmakers, photographers. Why? Because they get a great foundation that mixes academic approaches to art making with modern experiments. On top of that solid base, students explore their love and interests. Some discover new mediums and techniques at MCLA, like printmaking, book arts, realistic painting, and mixed-media techniques. Others build up their skills in what they know already. Regardless, every student who majors in ART at MCLA comes together in their final semester to complete Senior Art Project. A course that requires them to put together a portfolio, a formal artist talk, a website and an exhibition.

This year’s exhibit will open April 26th from 5-7 p.m. at Gallery 51, North Adams, MA.

Hope to see you there!
